🌸 Radhashtami – Appearance Day of Srimati Radharani
Radhashtami is the sacred day when devotees celebrate the divine appearance of Srimati Radharani, the eternal consort of Lord Krishna. It falls on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the bright fortnight in the month of Bhadra (August–September), 15 days after Janmashtami.
Srimati Radharani is the embodiment of pure devotion (bhakti) and the pleasure potency (hladini shakti) of the Lord. She is the most beloved devotee of Krishna, and through Her mercy, one can receive Krishna’s mercy.
🌼 Glories of Srimati Radharani
- Radharani is the topmost devotee of Lord Krishna and the supreme goddess of devotion and love.
- She is the personification of compassion, always recommending fallen souls to Krishna.
- Her very name “Radha” means “She who worships (aradhana) Krishna the best.”
- Srila Prabhupada often said: “If we want Krishna’s favor, we must approach Him through Radharani. Krishna is difficult to approach directly, but if Radharani recommends, Krishna accepts.”

“Radharani is the Queen of Vrindavan. If She recommends us to Krishna, then our life is successful.”
